Remarkably, while my Kodachrome slides were transformed by the fire, color negatives also kept in my safe were generally not affected, as the negative for “Deliverance” testifies. Before the advent of digital printing, all the fine-art prints I had made from slides were created by means of a 4x5 internegative, that is a negative enlargement produced in the darkroom which then served as the printing source-medium. Many of these internegatives survived largely unscathed: some surface defects from heat-exposure, but with all the color-integrity intact. I am gradually scanning, restoring, and printing these images as well. As such, I have been able to recover some of my original portfolio from the 1977-1988 period. As can be seen in the examples on this page, I am able to juxtapose original images against their pyrometagraph counterparts. All prints are available individually as limited editions; paired images can also be framed together as diptychs. Prices for 12x18” diptychs are the same as for the “Deliverance Night” diptych. For larger diptych images, please email me for prices.
